MANGO VERDE is a globally-focused, USA-based production company founded by award-winning filmmaker Rafael Medina Adalfio. With a distinguished career spanning Europe and the United States, Rafael has led high-profile creative projects for clients such as Vogue, Mastercard, Caterpillar, and The British Royal Family, becoming known for his ability to capture the human essence in his work.

The company made its debut with the feature-length documentary Mariposa de Papel, which premiered at the 23rd Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival (LALIFF) and received the prestigious "Special Jury Award" at the Venezuelan Film Festival. The film continues to gain momentum on the festival circuit with plans for global distribution.

Expanding its storytelling scope, MANGO VERDE is now developing El Guardián de los Manglares, a visually immersive documentary exploring the lives of blue crab fishermen on Lake Maracaibo, and its first narrative fiction film, Yo Soy La Mala, a psychological drama about three generations of women grappling with the emotional complexities of separation. As a boutique firm with a unique pool of professionals, MANGO VERDE is committed to crafting powerful, resonant narratives that connect with global audiences while pushing creative boundaries through innovative storytelling, branded content, and cultural initiatives.

Rafael medina Adalfio is an award-winning filmmaker with an illustrious career spanning Europe and the United States. Known for his unique ability to capture the human essence through the lens, Rafael has led creative projects for prominent clients such as Vogue, Mastercard, Caterpillar, and The British Royal Family. His notable works include The Man Behind the Camera, which earned accolades at Sunscreen West 2021, and his collaboration on the title sequences for MikeMike Leigh’s Mr. Turner, Mr. Turner, a film nominated for the Academy Awards and showcased at the Cannes Film Festival.

Sara Karouni is an experienced journalist, editor, and content strategist with a passion for storytelling that bridges cultural and artistic worlds. She began her career in 2008 at El Nacional’s Sunday magazine, and over the years has honed her skills across various media, including film, theater, and editorial projects with renowned figures and brands such as Sofía Ímber, Luis Olavarrieta, Revista Zeta, and CLX Icons. Now at Mango Verde, Sara will play a key role in contributing to the development and production of the company’s upcoming slate of projects.

Steve Carmona, a proud Nuyorican, brings the raw energy and dynamic flair of New York’s independent cinema scene to his work. His portfolio spans from comedies and commercials to compelling narrative films, his projects have earned features on platforms like Netflix and HBO. His most recent film, Brutal Season, is currently streaming on Apple+. Beyond his work, Steve runs Green Lung Studio in Brooklyn, a thriving production studio that not only caters to film productions but also serves as a vibrant community hub.

Willians Pérez is a seasoned publicist, editor, and designer with over 15 years of experience in both print and digital media. He specializes in strategic communication and branding for local and international companies, consistently delivering impactful results through creative visual storytelling. His journey began with a deep passion for transforming ideas into compelling brands, and since then, he has collaborated with agencies and companies across various industries and countries. Through his signature studio, SR.BRAND™, he continues to develop innovative branding strategies that resonate on a global scale.

Natasha Castillo Godoy is an accomplished Public Relations expert with a robust background in the media industry. She began her career at RCTV, Venezuela’s most prestigious television networks, where she honed her corporate communications skills and built a solid foundation for her work in media relations. Her passion and dedication have driven her to lead significant initiatives, such as the Pro-Franquicias National Media Tour, and to serve as Head of Media at Semprenoi, the largest advertising agency in the country’s interior. Natasha is actively involved in promoting Mango Verde’s projects media outreach.

Curtis Wolfe stands at the forefront of innovative media and entertainment production as the current CEO of Versus Systems, a dynamic platform that integrates games and real-world rewards into unique content. Previously a partner at Shutts & Bowen LLP, he specialized in corporate law across energy, technology and media & entertainment sectors. Curtis has also served on the board of a NASDAQ-listed company and teaches Transactional Skills at the University of Miami School of Law.
